GLEAN Expedition Application Process

The main requirements for a student to participate on a GLEAN expedition are:

1. a sincere desire to conduct research on a chosen topic in a remote region of the world
2. a positive and mature attitude
3. evidence that the student has the motivation to do a high quality, complete job on his or her research project

Grades in school and test scores are not part of the process. Recommendation letters, a written essay, application form, and an interview with the student and parent/guardian are.
