Adventurous teenagers explore the Peruvian Amazon: July 10th through July 31st, 2005

A small team of teenage participants documented indigenous lifestyles, such as those still practiced by the modern Inca, through photography, journaling, sound recording and/or digital video. Assisted by GLEAN guides, teens explored a topic of interest: shamanism, environmental issues, women's roles, family, storytelling, music, textiles, religion, symbolism, with in-the-field study.

Important first-person research is showing up here in the GLEAN website (under student projects) to educate the public about the changing world of the Peruvian Amazon.
